Anyone know of Kentucky musky fly fishing guides? Cave Run Lake is on the professional musky fishing circuit, but warmwater fly fishers are pretty scarce folks hereabouts. Thanks.

i think it would be very difficult to find a guide specializing in flyfishing for muskies, not to say they are not out there. but as a compromise, i'd get a good gudie that specializes in shallow water tactics. i went to seminar by crash mullins, who is a guide at cave run, and he really impressed me with his knowledge. one of his best time slots for numbers of smaller fish, 40"+ range, in shallow water, was in march, at the back of the bays using rattletrap lures. this is a shllow water prestentation of a fash moving, tightaction lure. a fast, stripped deerhair diver should mimic this fairly well.

well good luck with your quest. hope you find a good guide and catch some fish.
BTW i have no affiliation with mullins just like his seminar.

Riz,
Great info much appreciated. I will contact those folks and see if they will fool around with what I am sure they classify as strange people with those long rods that only catch bluegills. Thanks bunches.
