Just today I've received emails telling me to update my account records from eBay, AOL,
The Bank of Alaska, and at least a dozen more. We do not have accounts with ANY of them. I can see however, how people get their identity stolen...with the massive amount of these phishing schemes they send out they must get some people who aren't as
knowledgeable and give their personal information out.
Please folks, check this stuff very carefully, they do look very real.

LF,
I'd also ignore Dave Micus' offer to keep a backup of your financial records. He may be nice, but not that nice.

I just got hit with a new load too. Everybody wants to refinance my mortgage. Where were all these people when I *had* one?
Oh, and then there's the blue pills. I don't need them either. http://www.flyanglersonline.com/bb/wink.gif

Jed, I told you I'd double your money within a year! It's only been 11 months--be patient.

Dave,
Do I have to send you another $10,000 or can you make due with $7,500. I don't want to sound tight.... but I am.

I bank with chaseManhatten and even though I have an account I still get bogus Chase "update" emails. I have reported them to Chase fraud and the concur, they are bogus and they are aware. The phonies even use Chase logs's. The tip off is the .com part. Chase@info.com (etc) Pretty shabby if you ask me. BEWARE

While I'm sorry to hear that everybody else is being deluged with spam, I'm glad to hear it's not just something wrong with my spam filter. I've been getting hundreds of e-mails supposedly from Chase Bank, Pay Pal, various "national lotteries, and of course the ubiquitous Nigerians offering to make me rich. Will there ever be an end to this garbage?
