Eastern California trout opener this weekend

Saturday, April 26 will be the opener in the Eastern Sierras. Forecast is cool, breezy and cloudy. Thundershowers today. Mike and I are going to Bishop on Tuesday and coming back Thursday. This will be our first trip of 2014 and my first time on the water since my daughter was diagnosed with cancer last September.
I am really looking forward to this trip. I've got my fly boxes packed, new leader and tippet and my lines and reels cleaned and ready to go. Checked my waders for leaks in the pool.
I bought a 2013 Chevy Silverado in December and put a bed liner and shell on it so it's ready to pack up and hit the road. C'mon Tuesday. Jim

Just had a weather update. Snowing like crazy at Mammoth Mountain. Supposed to get quite a bit tonight and more tomorrow. Areas nearby Bishop are getting rain mixed with snow.At least we'll have water in the creeks. Jim
