Carp.....
Nicascio (public pond between Pt Reyes Sta and Petaluma) was alive with'em today. Went to snoop for crappie but could not concentrate on those with pods of 5-25 carp criusing by at very regular intervals.
A #16 very dark woolybugger produced a few as did a clipped chart deerhair w/ CDC or marabou palmered thru it #8 top-water bug built like a wooly worm.
Danged interesting to watch'em spook from bird shadows. Acres of'em. :-)
Never did find any crappie... :hmmm

Lee,
I wish I were there with you. I can't wait for the carp action to heat up around here. I can't believe I get to do for free what those bonefishermen pay $400 bucks a day to do. From what I see on TV about bonefishing it looks pretty much the same to me----less the tropical scenery of course. Me, I'd forget those crappie in a heart beat if I saw what you described. Good luck. Robert

Robert, if our warm water stays around for another week or two I heartily recommend going to check out Taylor. It was a little slow last weekend, but on its way to heating up.
