Olive Caddis Emerger
Hi everyone,
Just tied this up and want people's honest opinion. I haven't tried it on any fish yet, but hope to soon in the Gila.

Hook: Size 14 Curved Caddis
Thread: 8/0 Olive Dun UNI
Tail:Olive Antron, cut unevenly
Body: Olive dubbing
Ribbing: Fine Copper Wire
Wing: Natural Deer Hair
Head: Wing Hair clipped

I like your emerger. I would be tempted to tie a few with Brown Z-Lon as a trailing shuck.

just a suggestion.
the next flies you take pictures of, get construction paper in blue, white, yellow, teal, all those colors and plenty more work.
put the background right behind your fly, and make sure there are no shadows.
im sure you have some tying lights and if you do then use them! make sure you use the most of your lights for taking pictures and you might even find yourself needing more light.

Hi nen-bran,
That's a nice emerger pattern. It should float just in the surface film with that wing. I bet this will work really well when the fish are taking caddis.
