Doesn't really matter anymore.....
NF,
In reality, dispite ANYTHING that the rod companies 'say' or 'print' or 'advertise' or 'promise' it truly doesn't matter.
The advances in rod technology over the last few decades have been so all encompassing that even the 'cheapie' rods are far superior to ANY rod you could buy 30 years ago for any price.
It's all personal preference. Folks tend to like and promote what they HAVE. They are ALL just fine for fishing with.
Since you really can't go wrong if you do even a small amount of pre purchase preparation (picking line weight, length, etc.), buy what you want and can afford.
Don't sweat the small stuff. Go fishing.
Good luck!
Buddy
