I make sure they are clean of all dirt and mud, then hang them upside down until thoroughly dry. I then roll them up and keep them in the basement in the bag they came in. Keeping them clean and dry are the most important things to a long life for waders. If you perspire a lot or take a swim, you can turn the stocking foot waders inside out as soon as you take them off, so they dry quickly. If left damp or wet, they will develop mold inside. I like to dry the inside first, then turn them out and dry the outside.

For my Gortex waders like Simms and Cloudveil stocking food waders, I make sure they are relatively clean and then turn them inside out when I take them off to let them dry out on the inside for a day or two, then reverse them back out to normal and let that dry for another day or two. Then roll them up and put them in my big equipment box with gravel guard, wader or back belt, etc.
If I am using them for several days in a row, I turn them inside out when I remove them to mainly concentrate on keeping the inside dry of condensation and sweat. I don't worry about the outside in this case.
I do the same procedure for my neoprene waders also.
I avoid leaving either of them in the sun for extended time to dry.
I've had real good success with using those electric wader dryers sold at Cabelas. I was afraid they would dry out the waders but after 2 1/2 seasons it really works well. For winter storage I keep my waders on the dryer and just unplug the unit once the waders are dry.
called the makers a few years back to find out how to clean breathable waders before a trip. was told to wash them in the bathtub with a little POWDERED laundry detergent, warm water, and a sponge, turning them inside out and then right side out to get both sides clean. rinse carefully inside out and right side out. then dry inside out and right side out for a couple of days. i do this once a year to keep them sweet. it works very well. put a soft pad on the floor next the bathtub because you'll be there a while...
