The original bivisible (brown) is attributed to Mr. Edward Hewitt, created in 1926.*The Badger Bivisible was created in the 1930?s by Mr. Charles Merrill of Detroit, Michigan.*He was called the 'Dean of Detroit' fly tiers. He also founded the F.F.F.F. Club. Mr. Merrill died in 1940.
Great pattern! Bivisibles are some of my favorite patterns to fish.
I like it. This version looks like it will be easier to see on the water in the smaller sizes.

How does the "Badger Bivisible" differ from other fly patterns, such as the "Lady's Fish Finder" or the "Bivisible Moose"? Is it about the shape, or the materials used in the pattern? What does it represent to the fish, when cast on the water?
I have found that all of the above patterns work, some of the time, for unknown reasons. In smaller hook sizes, (#18 and smaller) they are great during the Trico Hatches in August.
I do not have any answers to why this style of dry fly works, I just know that if the situation is right, that they do! ~Parnelli
