A friend has asked me to tie him some of these.
A quick internet search didn't turn up the recipe, and the only photo I found was pretty poor and of a 'modified' version.
Anyone here have the recipe or at least a good photo?
Thanks,
Buddy

Looks like a killer.

This, and similar patterns, were a bluegill favorite around 2K. They fell out of favor, I suppose, because they weren't "pretty" enough. The most popular pattern here was black body/tail/legs with varigated back or flash back. I was prone to tie yellow body with black/flash back and black legs/tail. Always weighted unless fishing over beds in the spring. Note the hook is a size 8. Using a Musad 3261 works as well and is cheaper. Several I saw were tied on a scud hook.
Thanks guys.
Scott, that's the link I needed, thank you.
Apparently this is still a very effective fly in the ponds around Little Rock Arkansas. Or at least my friend thinks it is, which is just about the same thing....
