Don't just close it
Please, don't just close it; delete it. Point made by leaving it open as long as you did and congrats for doing that.
When I first met my wife 40+ years ago she had a great sense of humor and had a friend with a similar one. Whenever a conversation started getting stupid one of them would say, "I understand food is a major problem in outer space" and the other would reply, "If you think I'm tall you ought to see my brother".
We had some of that here and it made me smile but, jeez, what a waste of bandwidth!

Brad...I agree.
JC...You're the "head of the house"...do as you feel you should & those opposed have options...up to & including leaving. IMHO, it's pretty damn bad manners to give your host hell...WE are your guests & your rules prevail!
Danbo...As with Brad, I agree.

I apologize to all for my part in pushing the envelope. I am very greatful to be invited into someone else's house and they don't really even know me. Even at my age, it seems I can be enticed into getting a little stupid. It feels good at the time to let a little boy come out. I will conduct myself as a gentlemen,( the way I was brought up) in someone elses house. Your rules are upfront and correct.
My sincere apologies,
Rookie
