My old Patagonia boots finally fell apart. Please recommend a sturdy, comfortable boot. Another Patagonia? Simms? Others? Thanks and best regards.

I really like my Patagonia River Walkers with the sticky rubber. Very comfortable
I'm a Simms fan myself.
A friend of mine bought a pair of Chota wading boots while we were in Ark. in Jan. He was very pleased with them.. Still is. Got them from Dale Fulton at Blue Ribbon Flies in Mt. Home.
I'm sure you already have checked out the 'Product Review' on them on here.

It is great to be able to swap out the soles in mere seconds, making the shoes much more functional. I use the studded rubber and the lug soles quite a bit. I can put the lug soles on for floating on the drift boat or hiking to the location and then swap out for the studded soles when it's time to wade. This past week while wet wading around Bozeman I used the lug soles and they are like hiking shoes. I can go into a store or restaurant for some grub then drive back to the river, swap the soles on 20 seconds and start wading. I've had mine 2 years now and would buy another pair tomorrow if I had to.
I have the Cabelas Master guide boot. It is on its third pair of felt bottoms and the uppers are still going strong. It is a very rugged boot. It is also stiffer than any other boot I have tried(ankle support). For the price i do not think you can go wrong-$69.
I have the LL BEAN River Treads with the studded aquastealth sole and am very pleased with them.Beans customer service is tops also.
I have been using a pair of the studded Chotas for 3 years now and am very pleased with them. I have only had to change the studs one time due to the heads being worn. They go on and off very easily. :D
I have a pair of Simm's Guide Boots with the studded aqualstealth and I like them a lot. There a little uncomfortable at first, but as soon as you break them in, there great.
