I am now the owner of an 11ft Iwana Tenkara rod.
I won't be able to use it until next spring, never mind,
it is my Xmas present to myself.
I have not been able to fish for about 2.5 years.
I am hoping this ultra light weight will be easier for me.

... to another, good for you Donald.
Looking forward to hearing about your adventures, and to seeing some pixels of your part of the world and the fishies that rise to your Tenkara angle. Bet they will be chasing some pretty special flies.

Donald,
Merry Christmas and enjoy your rod in good health.
have fun!
Donald:
You'll LOVE it!
I'm just thrilled to hear about the new rod John! AND that you will be fishing again. Hurrah for you (and us too because I just know we are going to hear about your adventures. I hope, I hope *S*)
Hugs,
LF
Very nice Donald! I think you've got the right set of flies for this new adventure as well. Based upon some sites I found years ago, I would try something akin to a wingless Hardy's favorite. Look forward to hearing of your outings.

You are in for a real treat. You have a great little rod that is far more versatile than most owners realize.

Now Donald you must wrap it and place it under the tree with a big note stating "Do not open until Christmas!. ;)
Too late! Within 30 seconds of the mail delivery, I ripped the wrappings in pieces.;)
