LOL!...I have seen articles before about ridiculous old laws still on the books in all States & they are really good for a laugh!
BTW, I'm takin' Friday & catchin' me a whale!! Saw one chasin' one of my saltwater bluegills, but that was on Sunday, so I couldn't get 'im then.

That being said.... Lets fish.
Since whales aren't really fish it's probably not illegal but it probably would take a lot of rum. Maybe the pirates know. Somehow I can't see them sharing their rum with the whales, however.
Might have trouble finding a whale in Ohio. If you do, he's probably already drunk.
