Excellent reel. 5/6 has same drag has the bigger sizes which where very good at their original price point and built well enough for saltwater fish like bonefish , tarpon, tuna, bonito, etc. We sold many before they were discontinued. Our customers used the for local inshore and offshore fishing as well down of Baja California and other destinations. The 5/6 was used locally as a light saltwater reel - it is more than sufficient for any freshwater usage in North America where you would use 5, 6, or even 7 wt rods and has enough weight to balance a lighter switch rod.
I just bought a reel and three spools for $210.00 from Sierra trading post. Great deal. So far three outings with no issues. I had a couple fish pull out some drag with no problems. Here is what I would only squawk about. These reels are not as tight as my much higher priced reels that I own. Second is that the handle has a little more play than I am used to. Make sure you use Micro backing if you plan on fishing for fish with bad intensions. That's about it so far. The color matches perfect with my TFO Mangrove that I'm using for saltwater surf and back bays here in So. Cal.
