I have a dremmel. I have foam. I'd love doing it but I have no clue how to start. Even after reading Hatch's wonderful tutorials. JGW

im am probably one of the last people to ask. I havent fully set up a nice station like most of the rest of them but instead all i did was take a 2X4 and cut a v-grove. I grabed a thinish metal rod, because of the fact that the correct type of needle i was using accidentaly got bent and broke, put it in the dremel. THen took some of these 4 mm thick things of foam they sell at a hobby lobby for kids to hang on their doors and made blocks with rubber cement. Let them sit over night. Took a 38 special round put a sharp edge on it and used it as a punch. Then i took a needle pushed it length wise through the foam to make a whole. Then threaded the foam on to the dremel. I used a welding aid tool from radioshak to shape the foam boddies. If I were u i would email hatch or do a seach for the some posts on it.

Thanks Bass Angler . I'm afraid it doesn't look like my "cup of tea" though.

Okay. Hatch has talked me into it. One of my favorite all time flies is the fly rod size Hula Poppers. Only problem is you'd need a 12 wt. rod to keep from rippin' off your toupee. Looks like you might be able to do the same type of fly with much less weight this way. I'll attempt a dremel Hula Popper, skirt and all. If I can only learn to paint them as well as I've seen posted here. JGW
