5 minute epoxy
I tied some clousers for striper fishing. I used 5-minute epoxy on the head but I don't think I mixed the epoxy/hardener right because the heads feel a little slick and wet after 24 hours.
Is there anything that could be done about that? Besides doing it right the first time, that is. :)

You might try another thin coat with it mixed properly. Nothing to lose at this point.

Here is a tip from the book Popfleyes:
"Uneven or disproportionate mixing of the two components may leave the epoxy tacky for an inordinate time. If this should happen, simply coat the epoxy with Hard as Nails clear nail polish. When it dries the fly will be smooth and hard."
I have used this trick and it works like a charm.

Outstanding! I happen to some of that sitting right on my bench. Thanks!

Just to report back. That coat of Sally Hansen's seems to have worked well. I also took a little more care in mixing this evening and the epoxy is better already.
