That is an interesting looking fly. I bet it would work on trout as well as panfish. The pattern calls for white goose wings with a touch of blue goose.
I am curious about two things in the tying of this pattern:
1. The white goose wings - what part of the goose are they from? Feathers from the wing are much stiffer than body feathers.
2. The blue goose feather. Is this from a white goose feather dyed blue or from a bird commonly called a blue goose? I assume it is dyed and if so what shade of blue?
If someone could post a picture of this fly "head on" it would be appreciated. I tried to google an image but could not get by the baseball players (lol).
Thanks
Tim
