Easy enough to transition the pattern to foam; integrating the head into the initial steps saves a bit of time and thread wraps. Tied Rubenesque here; body thickness/shape determined by foam width/tension while wrapping.

abdomen/head - 1mm foam orange
thorax - peacock herl
hackle - rusty dun
wing - elk hair

put a loop in the mono; mash barb, start thread, tie in mono

clean, stack, measure (2x hook length) a clump of moose body hair; tie in/trim butts, hook the loop onto the gallows
