all leaders tangle; mine are just better at it than most. Jim
I do remember now (after thinking about it all day) a private pond we fished some years ago fed the fish dry Friskies Cat Food. I also recall someone, whose name I won't divulge, tied up some flies to look like the particular shape of that cat food. The fish preferred the cat food.

Purina makes "Trout Chow". Try a search on the web.
You may want to check with California DFG. With the potential of New Zealand Mud Snails and aquatic diseases they are concerned with the introduction of "undesireable critters" from one water into another. I am refering to the fish that you have, they can't be moved from one water to another and what may come along with them.

A few weeks ago my wife and I were up in the mountains in N. Georgia and my wife wanted to go to a place called Mark of the Potter. It is in an old mill that is right on the river there. They had a machine on the back porch that dispensed fish food to feed to the trout there. Some were as big as my arm. When the fish food was thrown into the water the trout would do their best impression of an Amazon Piranha. They were awesome to watch.
