LEFTY DAY
I have planted some garden by getting the early stuff out. Tilled everything and then got some seeds and plants in. Picked up several wheelbarrow loads of limbs and got them out to the burn pile in the back. After that it was time to go to a pond.
I had received permission to fish a pond that is on private property. The land owner does not let anyone fish the pond. He found out that I do not keep any bass and invited me out to fish the pond to get some of the panfish out.

Your story has made me feel a bit guilty for being so lazy as to not practicing casting myself, especially for not having even tried to have a go at the left handed version. It is the sort of guilt that is good to have, as I should go out and work on it.

Well, *I* for one can honestly say I can cast left handed as well as right.
Of course with only a couple hours with one of them stick thingy's you call rods in my hands that aint saying much :)
Now as for aim, accuracy, distance, or the ability to CATCH a fish.. Rick continues to make the black art of casting and catching look easy.
Now if we can only get Rick to come out west, and get in a boat on REAL water (AKA ocean) we'll see if his legendary skills are all that.
What size hook does one use for a killer whale anyway?

I don't think you use a hook for killer whales. I have heard that you use several sticks of dynomite, but wouldn't know for sure.....hear say only.

Fished the ocean alot in my younger days. Before I got into fly fishing,but have landed alot of salmon in my day.
