I think the picture and recipe may be in Poul Jorgensen's book "Modern Trout Flies", but I'm not positive.
RC, I have the pattern receipe for the catskill coiler. I am at my office, and this is in my tying library. I will e-mail when I get home tonight.
RC, Sorry I forgot to send the pattern. But under the weather the last few days. Will send tonight.
thanks everyone
FYI - the pattern is in fact in the book I mentioned.

Because of regional accents this fly is also known as the Catskill Coiler. I have the book from which these plates were copied. If you want to send me a PM I can scan and send the instructions to you, it is about 4 pages in Art Flick?s ?Master Fly-tying Guide?.
hmm interesting. thats similar too, but not quite the same as, the fly I was thinking of. I think mine had pheasant tail fibers or something similar running down the entire length of its back, and they were held down by wire ribbing.
Perhaps there is some naming confusion here. Your latest thread reminds me of the Fullback nymph. Here are some links. I am sure with a little ingenuity you could get what you want.
