Another Crawfish Pattern
I got some new stuff off of EBay called Larvae Lace, and I've been playing around with it to see what I can use it for. It weaves very well, so I thought I would work on a crawfish pattern (I love SM Bass). I'm still tweaking the pattern and technique, but here is what I have so far.

Awesome looking crawdaddy! I tie a similar pattern but it does not look nearly as nice! I use crawfish orange dyed pine squirrel for the pinchers and a dumbell eye smashed down with a hammer as part of the tail.

crawfish pie
Nice tie. looks good enough to bite the head off and suck out the in-nerds. I see a real creative imagination at work there.

I think I'm gonna go with black mono eyes, and just use 2 layers of lead wire to hold the weight down. I can cast this one with my ultralite spinning rod!
