Hi Guys, I spent the afternoon fishing at Meola reef in the upper Waitamata and despite a very strong wind had a blast.
Lots of small snapper and a few slightly larger ones, the bigger fish have been very slow to move onto the reef this summer, so I am hoping they will move soon and stay a bit longer than normal.
Here are a couple of snapper from today.

Nice going Mike. That is one of my favorite fish and very nice coloring. We used to fish for Red Snapper many years ago. Enjoy your Summer

Nice Snapper there Mike. The wind is still playing a part in the fishing here in Tauranga, how ever the Live Bait and Spinning boys are getting quite a lot of Bendy Rod Theraphy with the Kingis. I am yet to make contact on the fly. NEXT TIME!!! Jax
