tails - Mallard (dyed woodduck)
body - UTC 140 thread red
wing - Poly yarn yellow
hackle - grizzly

mash barb, attach the red thread at 60% mark and wrap back to point above barb

take a clump of mallard fibers (even tips), measure for length (hook shank) and tie in

trim butts, smooth with thread wraps and create tapered body

tie in the 8/0 thread; tie off and trim the body thread
