Tongariro River NZ
Hi Guys here are a few pics from my weekend fishing the Tongariro River. It was low and clear and needs a good flood to improve things but it was good fishing and a great time.
Mt Tongariro looking south from Taupo.

A couple of good fat Rainbows for the smoker, including my mate Q's first ever fish on a switch rod.

Beautiful photos, my best friend was down for an extended vacation of your homeland and that little island over to the side. He loved NZ, said it was a place where he could live, but he did not pass the immigration questionnaire, too old.
What kind of bird was that, not something that make it this far from NZ.

Thanks guys, Uncle Jesse the bird is a Chaffinch, I believe they are an introduced species, like Blackbirds and Thrushes that have thrived.
Ayone can move here even if you are very old, you just need to have lots and lots of dollars! Or do what I did and Mary a Kiwi girl!
All the best.
