Steve, I've been doing this for a while but the term"cripple" has me a bit confused. Could you give a brief definition? kev
-
Hey Steve!
Sign me up for a "Crippled CDC & Elk"
Al Corey

A Cripple is an emerging insect that get stuck in its casing on the way out. The basic cripple fly is half dry fly, half nymph. It sits on the water as a dry fly, but its abdomen is submerged.
The Quigley Cripple is a example pattern.

I'm in for that.

Roy

Steve,
I understand that you have 3 sets of flies (plus yours) in hand. Could you please list the participants that you've received flies from? We just want to make sure ours made it.
Thanks,
Bill

Flies are in from Kevin Gilroy, and we had one tyer that dropped out yesterday. Couldn't meet the deadline.
-
Hi Steve,
My flies were mailed March 14. Did you happen to receive them???
Thanks,
Bill
-
Hey PEI Steve,
How 'bout listing the flies you have/have not received. You know, kinda status chart.
There's a lot of us that would like to where we stand, and a list would sure help put our minds at ease.
Thanks PEI Steve..........

Hi Guys,
I received Roy Christies flies yesterday. Mr. Miller had to drop out, so I now have all of the flies in hand.
Roy, Jim, Kevin, Michael, Al, Bill, I will package the flies up before the weekend and get them out to you on Satuday morning.
Great looking bunch of flies guys, I cant wait to try them out. Thanks for your patience and thanks for joining the swap.

Hey Murphy what happened to the fly box I sent. Don't you have a place you can buy them there on the island???
Murphy, that's a cheap shot!
There, that's out of the way.

nice work by all.
thanks to the participants and host. well done.
I almost hate to bring this up, but I don't think I got one of the host's flies...I got one of roy's and kgilroy's and bill brothers' and two each from waterbum and essobee. nor did I recieve one of mine back, though I'm not sure I sent 7 or 8...
might be nitpickin' but...

Good to know the flies are arriving.
Al, sorry about the box. I sorted the flies into the altoids tins as they arrived and just set your box aside. Send me your mailing address to slmurphy@gov.pe.ca and I'll send it along to you.
Mikey, my fly is the one with the brown marabou tail, pt body, and deer hair wing. Check to see if you have one and let me know.
