I Think It's Here
Finally, the first real signs of a Florida spring...
The weather's kicking in around 80 degrees this weekend, the mallard mom and dad came out Sunday sporting eight new babies, there are a few fuzzy little peaches on my experimental tree, the orange blossoms are just about to open and I get a whiff of that perfume every once in a while. And if the wind ain't blowin' this weekend, I'm hittin' the flats! (and if'n it blows, so what! I'll be working on the landscape ideas for the new pool).
So, what y'all gonna do? *G*

Glad you guys are having spring. I'm having 6 inches of fresh snow that fell last night and possibly another 3 today.

Spring on a slightly different scale of that in Florida, but spring has definitely sprung here.

Grrrrrr, just finished Blowing and Plowing the driveway and a few nieghbors today. We had a good 8" inches last night and today its hitting 40 and melting thank God. I don't mean to get spiritual on this http://www.flyanglersonline.com/bb/smile.gif.
Good luck wetting the lines and save some for me. I'll be at honeymoon Isl. on the 31st and 1st. Talk to the fishing Gods and put the word in for an old geezer will ya. Michele has enough luck on her own http://www.flyanglersonline.com/bb/wink.gif

I look into... my fly box, and think about all the elements I should consider in choosing the perfect fly: water temperature, what stage of development the bugs are in, what the fish are eating right now. Then I remember what a guide told me: 'Ninety percent of what a trout eats is brown and fuzzy and about five-eighths of an inch long.' - Allison Moir.
I wonder if he ever fished Saltwater ;)

C'mon Jed. At least it's fresh snow and not that yellow kind. http://www.flyanglersonline.com/bb/wink.gif
Yep, spring is definetly here. I have soft green fuzz all over my yard; the beginnings of my first real lawn. My yard was a barren landscape after major septic work had been done earlier this year. My wife and I tilled in 5 gallons of lawn seed and it's payback time. Wooohoo.
As far as fishing goes, I'm waiting on the spring mullet run to hit the surf. Oh, that's going to be fun.
