Mayfly question...
I was on a local river in mid-Western Ontario a few nights ago and caught a dozen or so small rainbow that were rising to caddis flies. As I began to walk back to the car (at about 9:00 pm) a noticed a moderate hatch of mayflies (possibly brown drakes?). My questions are these:
1. Will the fish feed after dark on these mayfly duns?
2. Will there be a spinner fall worth fishing the next morning? (Please don't ask me to get up and go check - with a seven week old baby in the house, time on the river is pretty hard to come by!).
Thanks...

So this would be the Grand, the Maitland, or the Saugeen. Email Grindstone Angling and get the answer at flyshop@grindstoneangling.com and also see this link for the flies and their imitations [url=http://www.fishontario.com/fly-fishing/hatchchart/hatchframe.html:8e52d]http://www.fishontario.com/fly-fishing/hatchchart/hatchframe.html[/url:8e52d] Click on the bug image for the hatch chart and life cycle flies.
