Snow Shoe Hare
I recently bought a pair of snow shoe hare feet. I've used them to tie up a few of Al Campbell's "Too Easy" series of flies as well as some of the flies he mentioned in the Intermediate Tying section. My question is, what materials can hare's feet be substituted for? I know that the hair floats well, so I thought about maybe subbing it for CDC, but I was wondering what, if any, flies you tie with it.

it is pretty popular for wing posts on parachute flies

I use it for wings on Caddis drys. I tie up of a CDC and Hare to compliment the CDC and Elk in my fly box.
-
I use it instead of calf tail or deerhair for upright and divided wings, especially on irresistables.
the usual is a v. cool fish catching fool. snowshoe tail, dubbed body and a comparadun like wing. it's a dry. snowshoe floats!

I've read articles that call snowshoe hare hair the "poor man's CDC."
