Has anyone fished Pellicer Creek near Faves Dyke State Park?
Pellicer Creek is a beautiful stretch of water. However, fishing it can be tricky. There are certain times (and tides) of the year when the fishing can be outstanding. The rest of the time is isn't worth your effort.
If you decide to fish there, I would recomend you work the mud flats along the intracoastal.
Thanks for info. I will be going down there in a few weeks.
I assume you will have access to a boat - canoe or kayak will be perfect.
Where exactly will you be?
A kayak or canoe is perfect for fishing it. Here is some on Pellicer Creek.

My mother lives in Bunnell so I won't be to far far from there when I get down there. In a couple more weeks as I am waiting on a good week. Yes i will be using my new Yak as just picked up another one (Ultimate 12) 2 weeks ago. I am hoping to get 2 days out of it when I do get down there.
Well I am heading to Florida this Sunday to fish so hopefully conditions will be good to fish.
It was windy this past weekend, temps in the 50s to 60s.
Besure to bring waders with you. The water is cold.
This time of year the water is clear. As such, the fish, especially the reds, are spooky. Plan to fish when the water is moving. If at all possible fish the last 2 hours of the outgoing tide and the first 2 hours of the in coming tide. Bait will be moving and the water will be low, so you will have a better chance of seeing fish.
Good luck.
Thanks for the tips.
