Lost Gear
I had an unfortunate incident while fishing the Sturgeon River in the northern lower penninsula of Michigan this past weekend. I lost a favorite rod; an Orvis 7' 4 wt. One Ounce, CFO I reel and "boonie" hat given to me by my daughter a couple of Father's Days ago.
If any of you are fishing the Sturgeon and find any of the above I would greatly appreciate their return.

Re: Lost Gear
Darn sorry about your lose, but it does sound like you 'fell in' or something like it? Ya OK?

Re: Lost Gear
I'm ok. Thanks for asking. Did get a good scare though; fell upstream in a heavy current and my waders filled pretty quickly.

Re: Lost Gear
Glad you survived 'Floating your hat.' If you make it to the Michigan Fish-In, I will lend you a rod if you need one. :D

Re: Lost Gear
Well Phil, sounds like a mini-adventure. Glad its only things money can buy and not broken body parts. Give it some time and it will make a great story for after dinner conversation.

Re: Lost Gear
Are you saying, no finders-keepers?
Look forward to meeting you at the Fish-In. Anything else you need? Reel? Flies? WADING STAFF!?!? Got plenty of room to bring stuff in the car.
