I like chowders on the "cream" or New England side, ... instead of the the "Manhattan" sort.
'cept, ... instead of using half 'n half milk and cream, ... I like to use 4 cups of 33% cream http://www.flyanglersonline.com/bb/wink.gif
It's too hot to make up a batch just right now, ... but it sure is pleasant to sip a mug on the banks of the river on those frosty October mornings ...

well, ... July 2002, ... but we were freezing our butts off anyway.

chris, i'm gonna have you down for some n.e. chowder using ipswich (my home town) clams, which are kinda famous in the north east. i'll rake em myself and they'll be so fresh you'll swear you feel them wiggling in your gullet...

DM, ...
Sounds good !! Fresh clams are rare up here (too far from the Seaway) Bring some to the FishIn and we'll bake 'em on a grill!!
I like to cheat in my Clam chowder and add crab meat, squid, LOTS of clams 'n bacon.
After all, ... if you can't eat it with a FORK, ... might as well call it soup http://www.flyanglersonline.com/bb/wink.gif
