Trapfest Trout Porn

My friends Mark Dahlquist and Kirk Shatner were in the area this weekend for Trapfest so we went fishing together. Mark and Kirk are from the Twin Cities.

Trapfest is a gathering sponsored by Driftless Trout Anglers Forum. The main gathering is in Westby this weekend at the Westby Rod & Gun Club Park. Driftless Trout Anglers Forum is anglers of all methods from the 4 states that have the driftless area in them.

Kirk had never fished the area before so we let him have first shot at the hole. Kirk had a small jig head on with a black gulp minnow on that looked like a mister twister.

It only took Kirk two casts to land this beautiful 22 inch small stream brown. Mark netted the fish for Kirk and I took the photos.
