NORTHERNS - Information, Tactics and patterns (Part 2)
Many of the books state that pre-spawn feeding takes place in water that is 34 to 40 degrees and that the spawning takes place in water that is 40 to 46 degrees. My experiences on Fort Peck and Castle Rock Lakes in Montana have found this to be false. I have yet to discover any significant numbers of Northerns at such low temperatures.
