Owens river near Bishop, CA

A little birdie told us...that the Bishop Chamber has made arrangements with Desert Springs Trout Farm to plant some extra trout in Pleasant Valley Reservoir and Owens River near Bishop. The first load of fish will be delivered in time for the Presidents Day Holiday Weekend. These extra fish will be 1.50 to 5.0 pounds each. California Department of Fish and Wildlife also continues to stock. Even though there is tons of snow in the mountains, the snow is mostly clear on the Owens Valley Floor now, so access to the river & PVR should be good. Should make for some good mid-February fishing!
