Hey!
If "she" is cute, milk this dilemma for what it's worth. Keep her commin back at least two-three times a weeks to see how the the work is progressing. On the seventh or eighth week dab a very small drop of WD-40 at the trouble spot, wait about 8 more weeks and the sections should come apart.
Hope this helps.

David L:
I had the problem with one of my Winstons and I iced down the joint for awhile and it came apart.

Place the rod behind your knees with the stuck section between them, hold the rod firmly at each side of your knees and spread your legs apart.

I like Joe's solution, .. That's what I usually do.
Note: DON'T twist the blanks to get them apart, (unless you want to buy a new rod for your friend http://www.flyanglersonline.com/bb/wink.gif)

She knows about that now, after the fact.
The first thing I asked was what kind of wax did you use?
answer: ....WAX?.. For what?

Good Q Chris,I've often wondered the very same thing,no matter what time of day or wee hour of the night .I can always count that J.C. will be the first to answer a post I make..not a bad thing in any light,He's about as knowledgeable as any man I've ever had the oppertunity to meet!!!...Thanks for always being here J.C.....
Now along the lines of the Ice posting try hot water ...not to hot but hot tap water then maybe the ice again wish ya luck with the rod.

"I've often wondered why it is that so many anglers spend so much money on,and pay so much attention to.the details on the wrong end of the fly line.If they took as much care in selecting or tying their flies as they did in the selection of the reel and rod,They might be able to gain the real extra edge that makes it possible to fool a fish that has,in fact, seen it all before" A.K.Best
"Wish ya great fishing"

Did you try the method of have both of you pull on the rod? Each of you should put one hand on each side of the joint to ensure smooth and straight pull (no puns intended). Did you wear medical gloves or rubber washing gloves? I carry a pair in my kit - they really add grip. I have a last solution (a wooden tool I posted last year) if you still have a problem after all the other suggestions. I'll check back.

Thanks guys
I sent her a E Mail with your sugestions.
I will let you all know the outcome after she gives them a try.
And yes I did send her home with a bit of wax for her other rods.
