Is it mixed with a little rabbit or some such dubbing?
Do we care if it's heat fusable or not?
Ducks, I think it is pure synthetic.
Ice dub rocks!
That it does! I use it all the time for lots of stuff.
There IS some type of dubbing mixed in with the Mylar strips. Whether it is natural or synthetic I don't know but the dubbing less the Mylar is rather on the coarse side which leads me to believe it's natural dubbing of some type.
as it comes from Fly shops, or craft sellers it is pure synthetic fibers, you could mix it with about anything, including rabbit if you so chose.
This first picture is a Steelhead color assortment from Hareline

It's definitely 100% synthetic. Probably a plastic polymer that's used in carpets or some type of fabric. I use it all the time and think very highly of it. 8T ;)
If you order the Angelina fiber...is it long so that if you want to mix your own dubbing you have to cut it?
The Hareline Ice Dub I have seems relatively short so one can separate it quite sparsely.
Incidentally it makes great dubbing brushes.
It looks to me like there is another ingrediant...in fact one color of the Hareline I have has little balls or "curds" of some such dubbing..I'm guessing rabbit...
I'd like to order some of the actual Angeline fiber but am wondering if I have to do anything to it to make it like the Hareline Ice Dub????????????
Anyone got a better place for it than here.....

As someone mentioned ....I do mix it with other natural or even synthetic dubbing [Needleloft] and it works quite well.
BTW...thanks for the above posts ....very useful
not unless you might be swayed by EmbellishmentVillage's 6 color sampler packs (bottom of page)
Wow! They must be a LOT SMALLER than the Joggles.com samplers because THEY SURE ARE A LOT CHEAPER !
