LF Article on Kids
I just read Lady Fishers article on kids in fly fishing. It reminded me of my active years in scouting. We would have boys very interested in scouting and scout activities until they were about 15-16 years old. Then they would drift away. We use to say there were 2 liguids the caused this, gasoline (cars) and perfume (girls). This seems to fit with LF's assessment of young fly fishers.
I guess one question I have for the "FAOL Staff", is there any reason to consider a slot on the Bulletin Board dedicated to the younger members of FAOL? Like a Young FAOL Forum?
Thanks. Good article LF.

Hey Dr. Bob,
I think one of the draws for the younger
folks here on FAOL is their access to the
older more experienced fishermen and the way
so many of our members relate to them as an
equal. FAOL has always welcomed young folks
but my feelings are that they would not
particularly want to participate in a youth
forum. Kind of like how we used to hover
around Dad and Gramps when they were talking
about the good old days.*G* Warm regards,
Jim

Dr Bob, thanks. Appreciate the suggestion. I feel that they are better served by our present system.

The article mentions one kid will be on Team USA U19, my brother and I will see him there on Team Canada.
