help reading water
I know you really cant help me with this topic, but can someone please help me by telling me exactly what tailout, seam, runs, ect actually look like? All I see when I steelhead fish is moving water, and I guess they target certain parts of the river at certain times. This could probably be why I am having such trouble catching the dang things. So what do these things look like, and what are the best ways to present flies at these areas. Help put me on some fish...thanks

Smallie,
Sorry, that is the secret code... Really, go to the flyfishing 101 link on this site [url=http://www.flyanglersonline.com/begin/101/:40f61]http://www.flyanglersonline.com/begin/101/[/url:40f61] and study each of the links. These will do a wonderful job of explaining all of the concepts of reading water and presentations. These are complete with illustrations. Hope that helps.

Smallie, in your profile you didn't add your email address so I have no other way to contact you. I really think that the advice that Ed gave you is very good. Did it answer all of your questions? If you have any that it didn't why don't you e me and I'll see if I can give it a shot. OK? Craig
