Prayers needed badly....
Sorry folks to repeat a subject. But you can be mad at me if you want.....but my wife needs some prayer help badly. Matter of fact I could use some help in that arena as well. I am not taking this too well. She had masectomy and chemo 2 years ago and they told her to keep the port in her chest for two years just in case. Her hair came back after 2 LONG years of suffering the after affects. THey took that port out last month....now she needs it back. Anyway the cancer has returned. She has gone down hill very fast. It took them 4 trys to get a port installed and were going to give up but the last try worked. She has multiple lesions of the liver and both lungs. She was looking forward to some fun this summer after being so beat up....oh also hip replacement. She has been on canes for a long time. Now her voice fails when she speaks, she hurts and is always tired. TODAY the said the also found two tumors on the brain. This is category 4 rogue cancer. The fastest growing, hardest to control, worst kind of cancer to have. I suddenly don't even think we will see our 38th anniversary. She is 3.5 hours away and I am at home recovering from back surgery.
Please pray for my wife Penny. She has been a good woman, wife and person and does not deserve this. I sat up many a night watching her bald head slowly sink to the arm of the chair and stay there the night. I sat and watched her pain many nights frustrated because there was nothing I could do to help her. It's tough duty. Now it's back and she is weaker going into this round than she was the first time. I think prayer now is the only hope I have.

Gem, seriously, my family was blessed with the prayers of this and another board 19 1/2 months ago. There were times that I felt I was hitting the bottom and then I felt my spirits being lifted up by forces way outside of my body and mind.
I'm not a religious fanatic. I'm sane and more logical than I should be. I can only report that, when I needed it most, I felt the prayer support we were getting. I hope you feel it too.

Our prayers are with you, your wife, and your family. We know all too well the pain surrounding your circumstance, as my sister-in-law has been battling an aggressive breast cancer as well. Hoping for God's mercy to shine upon you both, and best wishes.

Gemrod,
I am deeply sorry to hear about your wife's worsening condition. Two years of illness is a very long to keep a "stiff upper lip." I can only imagine the toll that this has taken on both you and Penny. Prayers and best wishes coming to you from Upstate South Carolina. 8T

Jim,
Reach out to the Lord for he is there with you and Penny. Lean on your faith and, Jim, lean on me. You are both in my prayers. Your kindness and emails have always brought a smile to my face. Since I am not there with you in body I send you a great big guy cyber hug. Both of you are in my prayers.
Lord, I beg thee to wrap your loving arms around our friends Jim and Penny. Comfort them in their struggle and please ease their suffering, oh merciful Lord. Please, oh Lord, ease their souls and minds with the knowledge that there is nothing that together with you, Lord, they cannot handle today or in the future. In the name of my Lord and savior, Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.
