i have been noticing some large, almost 2" adult caddis's flying around my house, i live only a little ways from the river, but then i look in my fly books, i have not seen a pattern for such a large caddis. Any help would be great thanks

Try an orange stimulator, #8 for the adults. For the pupa, just do a web search and patterns will show up. I like Ralph Cutter's Tangerine dream and also theo's terminator.

Also check out the Swiss Olive & Swiss Brown Caddis (recipe & picture on flytyingworld.com) can be fished both dry & wet !!!!! You will want to use what hook size best imtates your hatch (#14 or #12)
