Aaah, yer killin' me, smalls!

I know it's only february, but I am so ready for spring to arrive! The weather here has been taunting me. Sunny weather in the 50's during the day. It makes me want to go out and fish! Then the nighttime brings temps down in the teens. I live smack dab in the middle of a warmwater fishing paradise. Literally dozens upon dozens of lakes and rivers chock full of nearly any kind of warmwater species one could hope for, all within a half hour drive. Most within ten minutes drive. The sunny weather is decieving, though. Most of these lakes are still iced over. I want to feel the tug of a bluegill or a bass on my fly rod so bad....

Sigh, where's global warming when you need it?

The ice just went off osme of the ponds this week I went out one day so far. Will be out a noon today again.

We're back in the icebox again up here but last Friday I got out on the river and nailed about a dozen and a half smallies.
Boy did it feel good to feel that rod throbbing again. Hadn't been out since before thanksgiving.
