Uptown Angler presents the Healing Waters Rod Program and 4th of July Celebration on June 30th ? a fun and meaningful way to show support for wounded U.S. Veterans?..and take home a beautiful new fly rod in the process!!!

New Orleans, LA. ? Uptown Angler is proud to now support the Healing Waters Fly-Fishing Program, which is being conducted at military and Veterans Affairs hospitals across the nation. The Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing program teaches fly fishing and fly tying skills as therapy to the service men and women wounded in Afghanistan and Iraq and disable veterans from World War II and the Korean, Vietnam, and other conflicts. Uptown Angler will be donating, upon request, $25 from every fly rod sold in the month of July to the Healing Waters program. To kick this off, Uptown Angler will hold a 4th of July celebration on Saturday, June 30th from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., showcasing the Temple Fork Outfitters Healing Waters rods as well as limited edition Capt. Rich Waldner ?Patriot Spoon Flies? from which sales proceeds will go to support the Healing Waters Fly Fishing Program. Casting demonstration and instruction will be offered to all attendees.
