Very nice. No doubt those flies will bring in some nice fish.

That is one sweet looking fly!
Would you care to divulge how you tied it? I'm sure most on the board here can figure it out, but I am new at tying.
I like the looks of it. Where did you get the wool, and can it be had in an off color white or cream? I think it would help me make a pattern I have dreamt up.
Respectfully,
Sean
at the "Ikea" store here you can get an almost full sheep hide, soft tanned, with the fur, for about 20 bucks. its "supposed" to be a rug. Yeah right!;)
1. you tie the rams wool down for the tail put in flash if you want.
2. split the remaining wool in two and make a loop on each side of the hook.
3. make a dubbing loop and cut the loops making them wider than the head you are going to build.
4. Using the wool that is trimmed off spin it and tie it in for the head.
5. Trim and shape the head
Thanks guys
LEH,
You can get rams wool at just about any well stocked fly shop. If you don't have one near you, Hook and Hackle carries it, as well as Bear Lodge Angler, both sponsors of this site.
