I'm pretty sure the season is over or about to be....I fish them at least once a year, more if possible and the best pattern is a prism stimulator....Check out flies of the week...I believe 4Q 2007.
it ended today... ive gone opening weekend for the past 2 years and i was wondering what others have had good luck on.
Is prism dubbing similar to ice dub?
garb,
I spent a bunch of time this last year in the Golden Trout Wilderness (GTW) and caught everything on dries. I used an elk hair caddis, a Henry's Fork caddis, royal coachman, royal wulff, adams, and adams wulff. They all caught fish. Honestly, I think the season is so short for those little guys, they'll pretty much grab anything that's presented. I even had a couple of instances where they came out of the water to grab the fly BEFORE it had even touched the water. Talk about the ultimate dry fly ;-)

Man, I'd be happy to catch anything at this point, anybody knows of some good waters around SoCal (Canoga Park)? I have only found one park (Lake Balboa) and it doesn't have a lot of fish, my problem is I only have a couple of hours on Sunday morning so I can travel far.
