This is really bothering me

When the news regarding JC's passing was posted to the bulletin board, I was away from home on a business trip and did not have access to either of my computers but I used someone else's computer and tried to post my condolences. It appeared to be sent to wherever in space things go when you write them and send them out. It never showed up on the b-board. At a time like that who cares if we are signed in from a known computer or if folks from outside this community want to express their condolences? I am known to this website and have been a member from its initiation. Just venting but sometimes the moderators get a little too persnickety.

I think that you can log in from any computer. Maybe not anymore as the wormdunker guy has been battling spammers . If you are not logged in automatically (cookies must be allowed) then you cannot post without signing in. If you did sign in, it would appear to be one of those things that computers do to drive us mad. Things do get lost or inexplicably delayed in cyberspace.

I found where you posted a sympathy message on May 22ND. If you click on your name in the upper left corner of the post one of the options is see all posts, your sympathy post is about three down the list.

The folks are correct. If your a member and have signed in you can post on the bulletin board from any computer. Many members use the internet access at their local libraries.

As far as the spammers goes, that is taken care of in the application prpocess. It only gets to the bulletin board if one slips through the cracks.

Words are very difficult to find at a time like this but be assured that all of the FAOL community have you and your family very much in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. I do not think a speedy recovery from the loss of one's life time partner can ever be accomplished but our hopes are that time will heal the very acute pain you must feel now and that you will take comfort in the support of the many friends here and the memories you cherish of your good times together.

I'm glad it got through. If any computer you are on shows Welcome, YOURID.
in the upper right corner the system will let you have access to everything you can do from home. Just be sure to log out when you are done if it is not your computer because you don't want someone else to post things as you.

As to the folks that posted rest assured Dee has seen them. To those that were out of town or didn't make my cut off, I am sorry. The response was getting a bit overwhelming, and Dee knows that each and every one of you care. The FAOL community is one huge extended family.

As a side note. I stopped by KFC last Thursday night and took Dee some dinner. She is very shook up still, and these wounds will take time to fade. She stated more than once how much everyone's support meant to her. She is operating in numb mode still, so I'm afraid you fly tosser types will be stuck with me for the interim.

As for me.. I am not a paid staff member, or a fly tosser. So if I start writing/speaking your language wrong, please bear with me. Over all the things in the works are pretty cool, and come with a JC/Dee stamp of approval. Timetables, and roll out plans all need to be reworked now, but we hope to give you all a better set of tools.

Rest assured everyone, Dee fully understands how awesome you all are.

Your sport is expensive, or at least my tastes are.

Besides you don't want no stinking fly tosser as an admin...
They'd never be around when you needed them.. They'd be out fishing or some other crazy thing...

But "fly tossers" spend more time fishing because they don't have to spend the time digging bait.
