Cobra Escape Kayak
I just purchased a Cobra Escape to use for fun and fishing. I was particularly attracted by its relatively low weight (10.5 feet long, 34 lb.). I used it for the first time yesterday and was impressed by how "tippy" it was-- i.e., easily rolls over--seemingly more so than the little 8 foot cheapie I had bought from Costco a couple years ago. I don't know if it's my imagination or just poor boatsmanship :) . Have any of you folks had any experience with Cobra kayaks?
Thanks,
George Hancock

Re: Cobra Escape Kayak
The Cobra Fish N' Dive is a popular fishing kayak and is pretty stable, but it's bigger and heavier. The Escape is 31" wide so you would think it would be stable. Have you paddled other kayaks? Some feel a little tippy but have good secondary stability, i.e. they will tilt a little, but once the side makes contact with the water they stabilize.
