For us it is never the same, as each year we usually do something different.
Some years we go back to Ohio to celebrate with family. Some years family visits us here in Wyoming. Some years we have it with friends, and some years (only once so far) my wife works, and we celebrate it on a different day.
This year, we went to a friend's on Wednesday as he had to work Turkey day. Then Thursday we hosted turkey dinner with friends coming over.

How did we celabrate?..
We gathered at my daughter's house for the traditional meal. My wife and I, all four kids ( including my son in the Navy , who came all the way from Japan), five of the grand kids and one of the great grand kids. We felt blessed beyond words !

When I was a kid, I'd go cut wood with my Dad, Uncle and Granddaddy for my Granddaddy's house. Now that he and my Grandmother are gone, and we all have central heat and air, we just eat to much. I'm thankful that we can eat to much, and that we have to much to eat. I'm also a little ashamed, we should be following Warren's example.

We go to surviving aunt's house for a dinner at about 1pm. Eat, sleep and go back home.
We usually play card and board games all weekend.
When a B.I.L. visits we go fishing.
