A few changes to the back end of Bram Van Houten's Deer Hair Emerger.
hook ? Dai Riki 135 #14
thread - MFC 8/0 sand
underbody - medium tinsel opal
rib - turkey biot callibaetis
shellback - 1mm foam tan
hackle - Mearn's quail (any well-marked feather works)
wing - deer hair
thorax - CdC tan
Part 1
mash barb, start thread, wrap halfway down the bend

tie in biot, notch-side up

tie in tinsel; wrap to 2/3 mark, tie off/trm

rib body in open wraps, allowing tinsel to show thru; tie off/trim

I like "fishy" looking flies and this one certainly qualifies. Nice looking fly and looks like it would work in a wide variety of species in many different situations. Thanks for sharing the detailed photos on a nice tie.
