NuCanoe swivel seat base installation...
swen,
Here is a picture of the Wise seat base attached to the lid on the optional Storage Box for the NuCanoe. The Wise seat base allows you to slide the swivel and seat on the base to use and to remove it for hauling. The base is mounted onto alum. angle and the 4 bolts at the corners of the square go through the lid and on the bottom of the lid I have 1" wide alum. strips in place of washers for more support. I discovered if you drill a hole about the center of the cup holders on the storage box, you can fasten the box down by threading an eye bolt into the pre-threaded holes that are for fastening the seats down with. Sorry for the size of the picture...

NuCanoe with seat installed...
swen,
Here is a picture with the seat installed on the Wise seat base. By drilling the hole in the center of the cup holders, I am able to slide the Storage Box with attached seat to the back or center and just fasten it down into the threaded holes already in the boat. So far, this is working great. The added seating height makes paddling even more easier and the seating more comfortable.

Picture of bottom of Storage box lid...
swen,
Here is a picture of the Storage Box lid opened showing the 1" alum. strips with the 4 bolts coming through. I added the strips since the lid is double walled and hollow in the center. This gives more support for the bolts holding the seat base on the lid. In the other picture showing the seat base you will notice I slid a piece of alum. channel under the two alum. angles at about the center. This was done since the lid had a concaved center and the alum. channel just provides a little more support. It is put in prior to tightening the 4 bolts and is held in place this way and does not need any screws. Sorry about having to make individual post, but, I have not figured out how to do thumbnails yet...
